Last week I was contacted by the team at Maptek, a mining centric technology business who have been in the game for 40 years! To mark the momentous occasion they have organised a global network of talks and webinars, discussing emerging trends and the value they can bring to the mining cycle. It would be pretty interesting for tech heads out there to see a timeline of their main products and technological advances over that time!?
This 24 hour event will cover multiple mining topics and case studies – Maptek Connect 2021. The event will start with a geology-themed topic delivered from Arrowtown in New Zealand, where the sun first rises on the Maptek global business day. The agenda follows the sun over the Asia-Pacific, Africa and Europe to the Americas. The final session will be streamed live from Canada, where the Vancouver office signs off exactly 24 hours later.
Below are three of the underground centric talks which I think could be of value to followers of UG Mining Tech:
An award-winning approach to going digital in underground mining, May 19 at 10:15am (ACST) Join this session to learn how this digital approach has improved communications and removed paper forms, assisting Anglo American’s transformation roadmap.
